StageMate ISP

A pocket size media converter for creating analog laser projector signals from ethernet data streams. Processes ethernet packes, provides an analog ISP-DB25 (ILDA Standard Projector) output and a DMX512 output for use with the ISP-DMX standard. The converter is based on MetaMorph CPU / StageCore1.

The converter can be used in conjunction with StageFeed ISP to build a bridge across (or tunnel through) a network to teleport waveforms from one end to another. When directly connecting the converters through a RJ-45 patch cable, the devices act as a digital substitute of the analog ISP cable. This peer mode is always available and doesn't need any configuration. For other setups or in conjunction with other senders, the converter supports AutoIP, DHCP and static configuration. It further supports mature mechanisms for enumeration and configuration.

System Features

Optional Features

  • Timeshifts for intensity and color (based on galvo command, known as colorshift) and color lines (based on intensity, introduced as color line tweaking).

  • Timeshifts between signals are configured in units of microseconds with a resolution of 250 nanoseconds. This keeps the shifts stable for all sample frequencies.

  • DAC output calibration (gain and offset).

  • Laser power linearisation, individually for all color lines. Uses a polynomial to adjust non-linear laser power response of solid state lasers (not yet available).

  • Geometry processor (not yet available).

  • Safety zones (not yet available).
